Gin
A spirit which derives its predominant flavour from juniper berries.
Rum
A distilled alcoholic beverage made from sugarcane byproducts, such as molasses, or directly from sugarcane juice, by a process of fermentation and distillation.
Tequila
A distilled beverage made from the blue agave plant.
Vodka
Is one of the world's most popular distilled beverages. It is a clear liquid containing water and ethanol purified by distillation from a fermented substance such as potatoes, grain or sugar beet molasses, and an insignificant amount of other substances: impurities and possibly flavourings. Except for various types of flavourings, this spirit is a colourless liquid. This spirit usually has an alcohol content of 35% to 50% by volume.

Whiskey
Refers to a broad category of alcoholic beverages that are distilled from fermented grain mash and aged in wooden casks (generally oak). Different grains are used for different varieties, including: barley, malted barley, rye, malted rye, wheat, and maize (corn).
Absinthe
A green, aromatic liqueur that is 68 percent alcohol, is made with wormwood and other herbs, and has a bitter, licorice flavor.
Akvavit
A traditional flavoured spirit that is principally produced in Scandinavia, where it has been produced since the 15th century. Gets its distinctive flavour from spices and herbs, and the main spice should (according to the European Union) be caraway or dill. It typically contains 40% alcohol by volume.
Applejack
Brandy distilled from hard cider; also : an alcoholic beverage traditionally made by freezing hard cider and siphoning off the concentrated liquor.
Arak
It is a clear, colorless, unsweetened anise-flavored distilled alcoholic drink (also labeled as an Apéritif). It is the traditional alcoholic beverage in Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, Jordan and Israel. Typically has an ABV of 50-63%.
